A Day at Oyama
Playground
Oyama's Playground will be supervised beginning at 7:45 am each morning. For your child's safety, please remember to not drop them off before 7:45 am as there will be no supervision.
Breakfast
The cafeteria will begin serving breakfast from 7:45 - 8:05 am. Playground supervision will begin at this time.
Beginning of Day
Oyama's day begins with the first bell at 8:15 am and the final warning bell at 8:20 am.
End of Day
Our day ends at 2:30 pm each day with the exception of Wednesday (early out) at 1:30 pm.
After School Program
KIDCO is currently offered at Archer Center till- 6:00 pm daily. KIDCO is not sponsored by TUSD. If interested in enrolling your student please call KIDCO directly at 791-5930.
Following Dismissal
All students are expected to leave the building grounds unless they stay for after school activities or at the request of the teacher, who will be in charge and will notify parent.
Monthly Happenings
Student of the Month
Will be held the last Friday of the month from 7:45 am – 8:15 am in the Library.
PTSA Meetings
Will be every 2nd Friday of the month from 7:45 am–8:30 am in the Library.
Parent Workshops
Will be held every 3rd Thursday of the months listed below from 7:45 am –8:30 am in the Parent Room.
Monthly Student Awards
Each month one student from each class will be selected to be recognized by his/her teacher for a multitude of reasons. Some of the reasons might be for outstanding academics, most improved, or doing an especially kind thing for another person.
Teachers will be on the lookout for outstanding students to give them a special award at a celebration that will be held in their honor on the last Friday of every month at 7:45 am in the library. Parents of students receiving an award are invited to come celebrate.

Dress Code
- Shorts, skorts, and skirts can be no shorter than four inches above the knee. Shorts must be at or above mid-calf.
- Tops cannot be longer than the ends of the fingertips.
- No sagging or baggy shorts or pants.
- No violent, gory, drug/alcohol/gang related, or sex related images on any type of apparel.
- No shirts can be worn above the midriff. If spaghetti straps are worn a shirt must be worn underneath- this includes sports jerseys and muscle shirts.
- No caps, hats or scarves or bandanas.
- All shoes must have a back. No Flip Flops please!
- Students are not wear tattoos or spray painted hair or distracted hairdo to school.
- No shoes with wheels.
